Your travel eSIM: what to check before departure

Compatibility, coverage and activation: prepare your connection before you land.

Start with your phone

Check that your exact phone model supports eSIM and can use the provider you have chosen. A familiar model name is not enough: regional versions and carrier restrictions can differ. Check your device settings and the provider’s compatibility list before paying.

Match the plan to your whole trip

Write down every country where you need a connection, including a stopover if you plan to leave the airport. A regional plan can simplify a multi-country trip, but its name does not guarantee that every stop is included. Read the actual country list.

Compare the validity period with your arrival and departure dates. Then check the data allowance, hotspot conditions and any speed restrictions. The lowest price only helps if the plan fits the way you will use it.

Read the activation instructions

Installation and the start of a plan’s validity are not always the same event. Follow the provider’s instructions before installing or activating it. Save those instructions somewhere you can open offline, and keep your order reference handy if you need help.
